Avery Bradley

In case you didn’t hear, the Boston Celtics selected Marcus Smart with their first-round draft pick this year. Smart is a promising guard with a lot of talent and potential. With Rajon Rondo most likely staying put in Boston, another guard won’t necessarily be needed.

Avery Bradley will most likely be looking for an offer around 4 million, or higher, a year. He’s a great player and deserves a contract higher than what Boston will be willing to give.

I see other teams that are searching for a combo guard that’s great on the defensive end to make great offers for Bradley. Offers that Boston wouldn’t see worth the risk. It’s possible that Bradley gets a deal nearing $7 million a year, which would put Boston in a difficult decision.

Case and point, I don’t see Bradley returning to Boston. I see his talents being positively used elsewhere next season.
