Toronto Raptors- The most surprising pick of the draft goes to the Toronto Raptors. With the 20th pick they selected Bruno Caboclo. Caboclo is an 18-year-old forward with big time athleticism and a solid jumper, but has long ways to go. Many draft boards didn’t even have Caboclo drafted, but he is regarded as the “Brazilian Kevin Durant“, if he has an ounce of Durant in his game this was quite the pick. If not, the Raptors will look back at it regretting missing out on Rodney Hood, Shabazz Napier, and Kyle Anderson.

In the second round the Raptors took DeAndre Daniels with the 37th pick. Daniels, like Caboclo, might not be ready to contribute at the NBA level just yet. Daniels has a solid shooting touch, good height, and is athletic. In order for Daniels to see some playing time, he must put some weight on and must be more aggressive. It’s hard to believe that the third-seeded Raptors took two players that play the same position and aren’t ready to play yet.
