The Cleveland Cavaliers Will Not Win The NBA Central Division Title

The Cleveland Cavaliers stole headlines when they won the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft; then again when they selected Andrew Wiggins. They followed that up inking LeBron James away from the Miami Heat. Their prefect summer climaxed by landed Kevin Love in a trade for Wiggins, along with the plethora of “role players.”

Cleveland found no wrong this offseason.

That won’t be the case in the Winter and Spring, though. The Cleveland Cavaliers will not win the NBA’s Central Division. They’ll finish second. To the Chicago Bulls.

One could argue that the Bulls had the second-best summer this year. They added Pau Gasol in free agency, Doug McDermott in the NBA draft and Nikola Mirotic from overseas. Add in the return of Derrick Rose, and you can make the case that the Bulls — not LeBron’s Cavs — should be the favorite in this division.

It’ll take some time for the new Cleveland Cavaliers to mesh, the Chicago Bulls will take advantage of that and ultimately finish with the better record this season.

The Chicago Bulls will win the NBA Central Division this season.
