  • After a rough (to say the least) start to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ new era with LeBron James this year, I firmly believe that they will finish the regular season with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, just behind the Atlanta Hawks.

The Cavs are currently 11.5 games back of the Hawks right now, and that seems like too much of a gap to overcome at this point.

Cleveland has reeled off seven straight wins in LeBron’s eight games back from his two week absence from the Cavs’ lineup. Since his return, LeBron has looked like an entirely different player. He looks rested and rejuvenated. Most importantly, he’s looking more and more like the LeBron of old. Because of that, along with the additions of Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith, the Cavs are beginning to round into one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.

Ultimately, I’d be quite shocked if the Cavs don’t make the NBA Finals. They look the part right now.
