First Half Highlight: Trading Rajon Rondo
Analysis: If nothing else this season, at least the Boston Celtics finally came to the realization that Rajon Rondo was not going to be an integral part of this franchise’s future. That alone is an accomplishment for this team.
Assuming that no one — outside of their fans — care about those types of accolades, a true accomplishment for the C’s this season would be to find a way to sneak into the playoffs despite just trading away their former face of the company. That would be a power moving on shift. Although, that is unlikely at this point.
Boston is currently only a handful of games away from moving into the eighth seed of the Eastern Conference, but have shown no sense of consistency this season that would indicate this team would be able to achieve such feat.
The Celtics moved Rondo and have compiled a myriad of NBA draft picks. They did all they needed to do this season in order to warrant a passing grade.
