First Half Highlight: Lance Stephenson’s GW vs the Hawks

Analysis: If there’s one team that has disappointing this season, especially with the offseason they had, it’s been the Charlotte Hornets. After last season’s playoff appearance and offseason logo change, optimism was at an all-time high in Charlotte.

Add in the fact that they made their version of a splash when they signed Lance Stephenson away from the Indiana Pacers this past offseason and you can see why their 22-27 record through 40-plus games this season is viewed as a disappointment.

In fairness, the Hornets did lose Josh McRoberts to the Miami Heat, too, last summer. I don’t think we all realize the type of impact he had on the Hornets’ offense.

Charlotte may very well end up making the playoffs, but it doesn’t look like they’re going to make that next step that some expected them to take.
