First Half Highlight: The night before the season, when I predicted they’d make the playoffs

Analysis: The Denver Nuggets are a mess. Despite the talented roster, Brian Shaw hasn’t figured out a way to motivate, or translate talent into wins this season.

Trade rumors are swirling around this team and there’s no stability whatsoever at the moment. I’m not sure if Shaw should get the entire blame for this season, a year when much optimism surrounded the team at the start, but he should definitely get the bulk of it.

Many thought that Denver had enough talent to battle for a playoff spot this season, myself included, but they’ve looked anything but a playoff team so far this season.

It’s gotten so bad this season that it’s probably in the best interest of the team going forward to simply blow the roster up. Make some trades, play for a higher chance on NBA draft lottery night.

It’s been that bad this season for the Nuggets.
