According ESPN, Stoudemire might be on his way to the Mavericks after asking for a buyout from the Knicks.

Which would actually be great for this team. For a team that already lacks size on its starting lineup, or at least a second conventional big, Stoudemire could provide legitimate size off the bench.

While trying to compensate for the immediate loss of Rajon Rondo to eye and nose injuries, which ironically were caused by his own teammate, the Dallas Mavericks have been rumored trying to fix another leaking pipe on their roster: the lack of depth up front.

Although, depending on who you believe and what Amar’e Stoudemire decides to do during the NBA all-star break, a move regarding that front may be on its way.
