The Cleveland Cavaliers’ season will end how?
Saenz — In a first round playoff loss to the Miami Heat (2 vs 7 matchup). Although, I may be a tiny bit bias.
McQuiston — Losing in the NBA Finals.
Pelosi — LeBron scoring 45 and 10 in a Game 6 loss. Possibly the second round, probably the Eastern Conference Finals.
West — The Cleveland Cavaliers season will end with an elimination in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks team-first mindset and ball movement is just too much for a Cavaliers defense that has struggled nearly all year long. Irving, Love and LeBron will need to pull of something special to beat them, and I don’t see the rest of the Cavs roster being up to the challenge of backing them up.
Mohamed — The Cavs season will end with a second round exit. This team is good, but they still have chemistry issues and can’t play a lick of defense.
Veiga — The Cleveland Cavaliers season will end with: the 3rd seed. They have a long season to keep playing well. Never doubt LeBron!
Armstrong — The number 3 seed.
Hughes — The Cleveland Cavaliers’ season will end with Lebron James’ 6th trip to the NBA Finals in the past nine seasons. Say what you will about his performance in them, but the man has a knack for getting to the biggest possible moments. Much like the Miami Heat team that lost to the Dallas Mavericks in their inaugural season headed by a big three, this Cavs team will give their West Coast adversary a solid series but succumb to defeat because of their lack of experience.
They’ve had the first half of the season to try and mesh with one another despite some serious roster overhaul, and while they certainly won’t have a perfect run of things from here on out, by the time the playoffs roll around they’ll be more than ready to shred through a very weak Eastern Conference.
Julius Lasin, Staff Writer — The Cleveland Cavaliers season will end with disappointment. The Cavs are technically the hottest team in the NBA right now, but when the postseason rolls around, teams like the Bulls, Raptors, and even Hawks will be inclined to slow things down and force the Cavaliers to do two things: play half-court, interior oriented defense and score manufacture shots off of set pieces.
The Cavs are average at doing both of those things, so I believe Cleveland will have a minor implosion that will leave Kevin Love wondering if he should extend his stay in Cleveland.
