Chandler Parsons, Dallas Mavericks
2014-15 Stats: 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds
Another second banana wanting to be a star scenario is Chandler Parsons.
He was the third banana in his case last season with the Houston Rockets, behind James Harden and Dwight Howard. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks this past summer in hopes of being a star alongside Dirk Nowitzki.
Although his usage rate with the Mavs is up, his points per game is down from 16.6 to 15.3. His field goal percentage is also down, from 47 percent to 45 percent, amongst other of his stats that have taken a hit this year.
Parsons signed a three-year, $46 Million dollar contract with the Mavs this offseason, after Mark Cuban swung and missed on the bigger named free agents that were available. If he’s going to justify his price tag with the Mavs, he’s has a lot of work cut out for him.
