Small Forwards
1. LeBron James
2014-15 Stats: 26.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 7.4 assists
The best basketball player on the planet, LeBron James is seeking to do something he’s been dreaming of doing since he was a child: winning a championship in Cleveland. It was once a dream and is nearly a reality, because he has the necessary players surrounding him to do so.
They are the NBA favorites, and they will win the championship because of this man.
2. Tyreke Evans
2014-15 Stats: 16.9 points, 6.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds
It’s hard to place Tyreke Evans here for several reasons:
- He’s played the 1, 2, and 3 all season depending on team injuries.
- Kevin Durant should be here.
- Carmelo Anthony or Paul George should follow Durant on the list.
BUT……. This man is balling! Anthony Davis rightfully gets all the credit, but Evans is the No. 2 guy. Averaging nearly 17 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds, he’s been the unsung hero of this franchise that will make the playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Stop sleeping on this man, world.
3. Rudy Gay
2014-15 Stats: 20.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists
A year from now, everybody making that “are you crazy” face will agree with this decision of Rudy Gay. Why? Because the Sacramento Kings have a pass this year. They’re suppose to stink this year. Their coach at the beginning of the season, Mike Malone, had the team on the right path. A winning path. Once Demarcus Cousins got injured/sick, they started losing. Then they wrongfully fired Malone. George Karl is the 8th Kings coach since the 2006-07 season. 8th!!!!! It’s impossible to win when you go through so many coaches/systems in a short amount of time.
Ahhhhhh, enough venting. Nonetheless, Rudy Gay is averaging 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. He’s the perfect 1-2 punch with Demarcus Cousins, and now that they have a Hall of Fame coach, they’ll be making a playoff push next season.
