Houston Rockets 3-1

Last week: 2-1
Last rank: 2

The Rockets eventual return to the second round of the NBA playoffs will have to wait another day. After failing to complete the sweep in Game 4, the Houston Rockets will return home for Game 5 with a chance to complete the gentleman’s sweep of the Mavs.

At this point, it’s just a matter of when, not if, the Rockets make it to the second round. Despite Sunday’s loss, the Rockets are still in a very good spot. The Clippers and Spurs might continue to beat each other up in the first round, while the Rockets – if they take care of their own business – could be sitting pretty for about a week before they have to take the court for round two.
