Goran Dragic, Miami Heat

Contract: 5-years, $87 million

When Goran Dragic and the Miami Heat first struck a deal, it sounded like the agreement would be closer to $100 million over five years rather than closer to $85 million over said years. Nevertheless, in short, Dragic decided to take a bit less in order to help the Heat retain Dwyane Wade. It worked.

The best thing about this deal is that even though Dragic is 29 years old, there’s a better chance that his game ages well rather than him just completely falling off the grid over the course of this contract. Similar to what Steve Nash went through during his years (second stint) in Phoenix, we may have not even seen the best of Dragic yet.

Verdict: Bargain
