Ed Davis

Old team: Los Angeles Lakers

New Team: Portland Trail Blazers

In a free agency period that saw almost every role player or fringe starter get close to max salaries, Ed Davis is a steal for Portland at the price of 3-years, $20 million. Davis is a solid scorer, a great rebounder and has shown the ability to be a sneaky good defender and rim protector.

Having just lost LaMarcus Aldridge (more on him later), the Portland Trail Blazers did very well to get a solid young big at a bargain. Davis averaged 8.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season in a little more than 20 minutes per game.

He averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds per 36, though.
