Point Guard: Emmanuel Mudiay
Although Emmanuel Mudiay wasn’t the first point guard off the board in the NBA Draft, he is the one who is in the most advantageous position heading into the 2015-16 season.
With Ty Lawson being traded to the Houston Rockets, Mudiay should see the brunt of the workload this season, under new head coach Mike Malone. Moreover, Mudiay displayed his end-to-end speed and strong court presence in four Las Vegas Summer League games, averaging 12 points and 5.8 assists per game.
However, it should be noted that Mudiay didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, at only 38.5 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from the 3-point line. Nevertheless, the frenetic speed Mudiay plays at should be a perfect fit for a young Nuggets team littered with established scorers/shooters, who are looking to run.
