2014-15 Stats: 15. 0 points, 4.2 rebounds

Jeff Green was supposed to be one of the Memphis Grizzlies’ missing pieces on their run to an NBA Championship. Instead, that quickly sputtered. Green letdown many folks in Memphis, including his teammates.

Even though no one was beating the Golden State Warriors last season, the team that the Grizzlies lost to in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs, Green offering up only nine points on 33 percent shooting was a punch to the gut for the Grizzlies.

It simply wasn’t enough. That needs to change this season, if the Grizzlies are in fact going to keep strides with the Spurs, Clippers, Rockets and Warriors.
