Trey Burke, Utah Jazz
2014-15 Stats: 12.8 points, 4.3 assists
With Dante Exum lost for the season, the Utah Jazz are going to need Trey Burke to step in and be a productive and reliable starting point guard. Instead of running a two-headed point guard onslaught, the Jazz are going to need Burke to take the majority of the responsibility, or hope Raul Neto develops quickly.
Burke says he’s as “hungry as he’s ever been” and that he’s ready to be the guy for the Jazz, especially now that the Jazz are going to need him to step up.
Question is, will he be able to take that step? If not, perhaps the Jazz could say goodbye to a shot at the playoffs. Which is unfortunate, since the Jazz were becoming one of the trendier picks this summer.
