23. Los Angeles Clippers

2014-2015 Efficiency Rating: 28.6

The Clippers bench was bad last season…like comically bad. They were second worst in efficiency, sixth worst in ppg (29.7) and dead last in rebounding (9.9 rpg).

Some may question why they are ranked so low now that have seemed to address their bench issues. The answer is really quite simple; combustible potential.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

Yes, they added Paul PierceLance StephensonJosh SmithCole Aldrich and Wes Johnson. Has anybody stopped to wonder if a combination of  Smith, Jamal Crawford, and Stephenson on the court together may be a nightmare waiting to happen?

Not to mention if Chris Paul has to share the floor with some of these guys. Let’s face it, Paul is not known for his patience. What is the over/under on the amount of tantrums he throws in the bench’s general direction this year?

When IF this bench solidifies and becomes an efficient unit, then they will sky-rocket up the rankings like Paul jumping all over DeAndre Jordan. Pause for a fun video memory.

Despite the jokes, the Clippers have a chance to be great this season. They are loaded with talent and if Doc Rivers can harness the talent and the potential and keep the strong personalities at bay, then the Clippers may be taking that next step.

Let’s face it, almost anything would be an improvement over last year’s reserves.
