11. Chicago Bulls

2014-2015 Efficiency Rating: 32.5

Here’s another team that is taking a massive jump up. The reason why? Tom Thibodeau is gone and Fred Hoiberg is in.

For a team that actually has a legitimate amount of depth, the Bulls don’t really seem to show it. Thibodeau was notorious for his playing his starters obscene amounts of minutes. Expect that to change under Hoiberg.

Not only will the Bulls improve offensively, but their bench figures to play a larger role this upcoming season.

Let’s face it, this bench is a lot more talented than the numbers they put up last season. Taj GibsonNikola MiroticDoug McDermottTony SnellKirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks. Those are all legitimate bench threats.

Mirotic could prove to be even more dangerous under Hoiberg’s control. He had a solid season last year, but did not get a chance to showcase his talents as much as he would have liked. He is a threat from 3-point land, a solid passer and has the ability to score inside. He could even be used as a stretch-five occasionally, he is that versatile.

Bobby Portis also figures as a young talent with a lot of potential, though with all the big men already on the roster it will hard for him to get a shot in the rotation, barring injuries.

Overall, this collection of bench players is a solid group. With Hoiberg employing more of a up-tempo style offense, the Bulls bench could become a major factor. Some may sleep on the Bulls this year, but lookout if this bench produces the way it is capable of doing. The Bulls could be a major force in the Eastern Conference and the entire league.
