7. Memphis Grizzlies

Key Additions: Matt Barnes, Brandan Wright

If it hadn’t had been for the Golden State Warriors near-perfect season, the Memphis Grizzlies might’ve been the team to make it out of the Western Conference a year ago. Nevertheless, even after an offseason, the Grizzlies still have one glaring weakness in their arsenal – they don’t have much outside shooting.

And that has been one of their biggest problems over the last few seasons. The Grizzlies just can’t seem to solve that issue. It hurt them against the Warriors in the playoffs this past season, and will continue to hurt them if they don’t address it soon.

The Grizzlies have all the ingrediants to put together a Finals-like run. They have a star in Marc Gasol, great guard play in Mike Conley, Jr. and above average specialty players in Tony Allen and Zach Randolph.

Although, if Memphis doesn’t address their lack of outside shooting, especially in an era in which the three-point shot is becoming one of the most important aspects of the game, the Grizzlies won’t be accomplishing much this season.

Something tells me that the addition of Matt Barnes isn’t enough, no matter how great of a fit he figures to be.
