LeBron James won’t win the NBA MVP, but he’ll still be really good
There’s no hiding the fact that LeBron James is getting old and that it’s only a matter of time until his body begins to feel the repercussions of five-straight trips to the NBA Finals. With all that in mind, and with the fact that LeBron had a “precautionary” anti-inflamatory injection in his back during the preseason, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to believe that the decline of LeBron could begin this year.
I just don’t think it will. I could, but I’m not betting on it. Not yet.
LeBron will take the season easy, probably play it in cruise control. But he’ll still be on an entirely different level than his cohorts. He won’t win the NBA’s MVP, but he’ll still be one of the best players on the planet. And, yes, he’ll even leave us speechless on the occasion.
