NBA Power Rankings: The Warriors Road To 72 Begins With A Roaring Start

While Karl-Anthony Towns has look great in his first two games as a Wolf, it was Ricky Rubio‘s hot shooting in the season-opener that should be the story. Rubio finished with a career-high 28 points and 14 assists. Interestingly, he shot 59 percent from the field and hit 2-4 from three-point land. If he can shoot like that, or even simply come close to that, this season that’s a game-changer for this team.

Minnesota Timberwolves (2-0)

Last week: 2-0
Last rank: 24

Don’t look now, but the Minnesota Timberwolves have opened the season with two-straight victories. Both of their wins were over two non-playoff teams from a year ago (Lakers, Nuggets), but they’re quality wins for a team that is desperately trying to gain some traction.
