1. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
Stats: 14.8 points, 9.1 rebounds
For the most part, Karl-Anthony Towns has been the best player from this draft. And I don’t think many would argue with that proclamation. An argument could be made for Porzingis, but the fact that Towns can do it consistently and at a high level on both ends of the floor, Towns gets the slight nod.
Interestingly, Towns’ per 36 numbers (19 points, 12 rebounds) are only slightly better than those of Porzingis’. Much like his fellow draftee, Towns has given the Wolves hope for the future as well. The young foundation of Andrew Wiggins and Towns, amongst a myriad of other young pieces has Minnesota buzzing again.

And with Kevin Garnett in the fold and mentoring Towns, it really just can’t get any better. And Towns has the whole package. He has a surprisingly consistent jumper, when he needs it, has a handful of post moves and can hold his own, and then some, on the defensive end.
Unless something changes drastically, Towns looks like the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award winner one quarter of the way through the 2015-16 season.
