NBA League Pass Look Ahead: Golden State Warriors, Revenge?

My two favorite rookies are facing off in this matchup this week: Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns and New York’s Kristaps Porzingis. They play the same position essentially, and their stats are almost identical.

At this point in the season, it seems they’re the frontrunners for Rookie of the Year. They are both stretch bigs who anchor their team’s defense. It’s almost a mirror image. I’m looking forward to them facing off for the first time this season. 

Porzingis is averaging 13.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and nearly two blocks per game this season, while KAT is averaging 14.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and two blocks per game. It’s amazing how close their numbers are, even if Towns gets more of the press because he was the No. 1 overall pick.
