I Have No Idea If The East Is Good Or Just Collectively Bad
The first place Cleveland Cavaliers have seven losses. The sixth place Miami Heat has nine. I don’t know if the top of the Eastern Conference has gotten that much better or if they’re just collectively average. It’s probably somewhere in the middle.
But, on the surface, even by health alone, it’s pretty evident that the Eastern Conference is better than last year. Paul George is healthy, as is the case with Chris Bosh. By those two things alone, the Heat and Pacers are back to being relevant in the conference.
Add in the improving Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics, and there’s definite proof that the East is better. Even if it isn’t as top heavy as the Western Conference this season, at least the East will be able to hold its own this season. That should be a good thing overall for the NBA.
