New York Knicks

Nice surprise: Kristaps Porzingis.

Raise your hand if you expected Kristaps Porzingis to be the second-best player on the Knicks’ roster this season. Now put it down if you raised it, because you’re a liar. I don’t think anyone could’ve successfully predicted Porzingis’ production this season. He’s been even better than his best-case scenario for this season.

He looks like the real deal and is going to be a huge part of what the Knicks are going to do moving forward.

Needs Improvement: Everyone on the team not named Kristaps Porzingis, and maybe Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks did a lot of things right this past summer, specifically when they decided to draft Porzingis. But their roster doesn’t exactly look like a rebuilding one. They still have veterans that shouldn’t be on rebuilding teams – such as Melo, Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Arron Afflalo. New York needs to figure out what they want to do, and quickly.
