NBA MVP Power Rankings: Stephen Curry Holding Off Durant, Leonard

11 of 11

1. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Stats: 29.3 points, 6.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 31.6 PER

Despite struggling through a few injuries this season, Stephen Curry has led the Golden State Warriors to the best record (to this point) in NBA history. The Warriors are 33-2 and are on pace to break the Chicago Bulls iconic 72-win mark. He’s been the best player in the NBA – by far – and is changing the future of the league.

The scariest part about his game is that he still getting better and is barely entering the prime of his career. Curry’s best basketball could very well be still in front of him – and his team is loaded. The Warriors are going to be there in the end – them and the Spurs – again. And if Curry is healthy, why would you bet against them?
