Detroit Pistons

Record: 23-19

Considering that many thought – including myself – that the Detroit Pistons were two or three years away from being a playoff team in the Eastern Conference, especially after losing Greg Monroe in the offseason, the fact that Stan Van Gundy’s team is currently in the playoff mix should count for something.

Andre Drummond looks like the best center in the NBA and Reggie Jackson continues to improve. The Pistons don’t have great shooters around Drummond yet, but that will come. It appears Van Gundy wants to build the Pistons much like he did Orlando around Dwight Howard.

We all know how that turned out, right?
