NBA: The Winners And Losers Of The NBA Trade Dud-Line

Moves: Acquired Channing Frye For Anderson Varejao And Jared Cunningham 

The real reason why the Cleveland Cavaliers come away as losers after the NBA Trade Deadline is because of the hope many had that they would actually do something to shake things up in the NBA.

They didn’t. They just added another power forward, who can shoot. If only they had a player like that before…oh wait.

Seriously, though, the addition of Channing Frye will be a good one for the Cavaliers. It simply doesn’t move the needle, however. It doesn’t make them significantly better and doesn’t make them any less of an underdog against the likes of the Golden State Warriors.

Though, it will give them an interesting dynamic – the Cavs will be able to trot four shooters to play next to LeBron James and/or Kyrie Irving in some circumstances. That could be interesting.
