Even though the Atlanta Hawks appear to be unraveling with every passing week, all isn’t lost for a team that is one year removed from making their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in franchise history.
The Hawks are only two games behind the Heat for the third seed in the conference and definitely have the talent and coach to make a run as the regular season nears its end. With 14 games remaining against teams with winning records, the Hawks don’t have the easiest record, but it certainly is doable.
Assuming that Atlanta wins at least half of those games against teams with winning records and another seven of the 10 remaining against inferior opponents, the Hawks will finish the season with 45 wins. That, unfortunately isn’t enough to catch the Heat or Celtics.
