Heading into the playoffs last season, there were plenty of questions regarding how the Cleveland Cavaliers – mostly, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving – would react to the different kind of pressure that postseason basketball brings.
For the most part, while they were healthy, both passed with flying colors. Having one meaningful year under their belts – even though Love missed most of the playoffs – will definitely help their approach to the postseason this year.
Just like Michael Jordan and LeBron James, you can’t cheat heartbreak and the road to the top. The Cleveland Cavaliers, a year ago, weren’t experienced or special enough, despite LeBron’s presence, to win in their first year together.
Them losing to the Warriors was a learning experience. And it should pay off for them this season.
