Solidifies Offense
Even though the Miami Heat’s offense has been scorching (106.4 OR) since the NBA All-Star break, there are times during games where the offense seems stagnate. And we kind of saw some of that during the Heat’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks – and some in their second game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Adding Chris Bosh back into the fold will help alleviate some of those struggles.
If you watched the Heat game carefully, there were some instances when they were just passing the ball on the perimeter waiting for something to happen against a longer and more athletic defense. Most of those sequences ended when Dwyane Wade or Luol Deng pump faking and stepping in to shoot a contested, long two.
With Bosh, it gives the Heat offense another dimension, especially when Hassan Whiteside isn’t in the game. Bosh has shown the ability to take advantage of smaller, slower defenders by driving to the cup at a successful rate.
And when the pace suddenly slows down in the postseason, the Heat are going to need that extra one-on-one option around the elbow/post.
