Overall, Chris Bosh’s impact could/will have a big impact on the Miami Heat. For one, it makes their starting unit one of the best in the NBA. How many teams have a better starting five than Wade, Dragic, Johnson, Deng and Bosh?
The Warriors, Cavs and Thunder, maybe?
It also gives them the luxury to continue to keep Hassan Whiteside in the bench role that he’s excelled in since the All-Star break.

Ultimately, the hope is that Bosh’s return transforms the Miami Heat into a potential contender in the Eastern Conference. After all, with everything that’s flying around in the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room, they’re going to be beatable.
It’s just going to take the right formula to get them. LeBron James hasn’t lost a playoff series to an Eastern Conference team since 2009-10.
With all that said, Bosh’s return is out of his hands. Even if he believes he can play and if his personal doctors give him the green light, the Miami Heat doctors have to clear him. And based on recent reports, which suggest that they won’t clear him with even the slightest risk, that’s no given.

But if he does return, the Miami Heat will be no joke in the playoffs. They might even, as some say, be a dark horse contender to win the East. And I’m sure Pat Riley would love nothing more than to stick it to LeBron James when it matters most.
