With their huge matchup at the end of this week coming against the Warriors, don’t be surprised if Gregg Popovich kills all our anticipation by resting some of his players. It’s what he does.

Either way, this weekend’s Spurs vs Warriors game should tell us a lot. Even if Pop decides to rest a player or two, there is a psychological part of the game. And at a certain point, there’s only so many times that a team can lose by 30 points to their biggest competition. My guess is we’ll get our first real look at what a Spurs vs Warriors series might look like.

San Antonio Spurs (56-10)

Last week: 3-1
Last rank: 2

As the San Antonio Spurs continue to rest their veteran players, sparingly, expect a loss or two along the way. San Antonio has a strong grasp on the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and probably won’t be able to catch the Warriors for the top seed.
