NBA Draft: 8 Interesting Prospects To Watch In Day 1 Of The NCAA Tournament
Jakob Poeltl, Utah
(14) Fresno State vs Utah (3) – Thursday, 7:27 PM (ET)
Jakob Poeltl is probably the best bet, of most of the prototypical 7-footers that will enter the NBA Draft, that should find a nice role on an NBA team. He’s a legit 7-footer that can move. He’s athletics and can run the floor with the best of them.
Projected as a first round pick, don’t be surprised if Poeltl finds his way into the lottery in this year’s NBA Draft. Even with the NBA slowly moving away from 7-footers, Poeltl will have a role at the next level. His game has drawn comparisons to former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Bogut, who now anchors the frontline of the best team in the NBA.
Poeltl averages 18 points and nine rebounds on 66 percent shooting from the field this season.
