Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
Stats: N/A
I didn’t exactly want to beat a dead horse, but I had to include Joel Embiid on this list. It’s been two seasons and he’s played as many games in the NBA as me and you combined. Injuries suck and all, but despite that, he’s going to be viewed as a disappointment even if he never plays for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Many believe that Embiid will finally make his NBA debut next season but until we see it, we shouldn’t believe it. Just as was the case with Greg Oden, Embiid might go down as one of the biggest mistakes in NBA Draft history. Especially when you consider that Aaron Gordon, Dante Exum, Marcus Smart and Julius Randle – all players that have shown varying degrees of potential – were drafted right after the Sixers took a chance on Embiid.

The Sixers took an understandable chance when they drafted Embiid, but at a certain point we have to admit that it was a mistake. It might be that time.
