NBA: Eight Teams That Disappointed In 2015-16

8 of 9

Houston Rockets

Record: 37-38

I still don’t know what the heck happened to the Houston Rockets this summer. I don’t think anyone does. Whatever it was, the Rockets look like a completely different team than the one we saw make their Western Conference Finals run from a year ago.

The weird thing is that James Harden is actually having a better year than last season, when he finished second in the NBA MVP race to Stephen Curry. His supporting cast, however, just hasn’t been the same. Dwight Howard has taken a step back, and the same could be said about Trevor Ariza. Oh, and their big acquisition last summer – Ty Lawson – kind of blew up in their faces.

The Rockets probably sneak into the playoffs, but won’t make any noise.

Next: Los Angeles Clippers
