3. Oklahoma City Thunder (1-0)
If the Oklahoma City Thunder felt disrespected by going somewhat under the radar during the regular season, they did a good job of getting our attention in Game 1 against the Dallas Mavericks.
Not only did the Thunder, led by Kevin Durant’s and Russell Westbrook’s combined 47 points, dominate the Mavs in Game 1 but they also set some franchise records in the process. The Thunder’s 38-point victory was the franchise’s largest margin of victory in a playoff games since moving from Seattle. They also allowed their lowest point total (70) in postseason game ever – in Seattle or OKC.
If this series could end in less than four games it would.
At this point, it’s a matter of “when” not “if” we’re going to get a Thunder-Spurs series in the second round. That should be more competitive, I think.
