NBA Power Rankings: Golden State Warriors Impress Sans Stephen Curry

2. Golden State Warriors (5-1)

Even though the Golden State Warriors have still looked impressive without Stephen Curry, I had to drop them a slot until we know for sure that Curry will be able to remain healthy in the playoffs. Through the team’s first six games, Curry has only played 33 minutes.

With that said, the Warriors haven’t missed a beat without him. I suppose playing the underwhelming Houston Rockets and overachieving Portland Trail Blazers has helped that, but the Warriors are still one of the better teams in the NBA without Steph.

I think Terry Stotts said it best. He said that the Warriors are a great team without Stephen Curry and are a historically great team with him.

Makes sense.
