Denver Nuggets: Own Picks No. 7, 15 and 19

No other team has an abundance of quality picks like the Denver Nuggets do. Three top 20 picks is a great platform to reach a major deal to move up in this year’s draft.

The Nuggets have first team All-Rookie Nikola Jokic and Second Team All-Rookie Emmanual Mudiay. They are thin at shooting guard as Gary Harris is their starter at that position.

The proposition that I have the Nuggets making is this:

  • Nuggets acquire: 5th overall pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Timberwolves acquire: 7th overall pick and 15th overall pick from Denver

I believe that this is by far the most realistic trade proposed so far. They need a shooting guard, and the Wolves will always look to add more young talent.

With this acquired fifth pick, the Denver Nuggets could then choose Jamal Murray, a smooth shooting guard from Kentucky. This trade could help both teams perfectly.
