12. Utah Jazz
Pick: Wade Baldwin IV, G, Vanderbilt
When Dante Exum went down to injury last summer, the Utah Jazz never found a way to replace him. They tried everything and still failed to fill the void that Exum left. Thusly, the Jazz can’t go through the draft without addressing their lack of point guard depth.
While it wouldn’t make sense taking strictly a point guard with this pick, especially considering that Exum is expected to be healthy this upcoming season, the superior thought is to take a combo guard that CAN play the point guard position.
That’s exactly what Wade Baldwin can be for the Jazz. Even though he has his shortcomings, which includes finishing around the basket, Baldwin is the type of combo guard that the Jazz should target.
