17. Memphis Grizzlies

Pick: Malachi Richardson, SG, Syracuse

The Memphis Grizzlies have a ton of questions entering the summer. On top of the possibility of losing Mike Conley in free agency, the Grizzlies still desperately need shooting in their lineup. Even in today’s NBA, this is something that has eluded Memphis’ front office.

They can’t let that slip in the draft – again. With the 17th pick, expect the Grizzlies to take a shooter. At this point, Malachi Richardson is their guy. He’s a good perimeter shooter and has potential as a 6-foot-6 guard.

He’s not a prospect that is garnering praise from all angles, but he’s a player that could potentially blossom into a star in the NBA.
