Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn gets: Jrue Holiday

Nawlins’ gets: Thaddeus Young

Straight up. Player for player. No draft picks (Okay, maybe some, the Pelicans need all the help they can get for Alvin Gentry and AD). But that’s beside the point.

Is Thaddeus Young the game-changing addition to not waste Anthony Davis‘ prime? Maybe, maybe not. But he does space the floor, rebounds fairly well, and isn’t one dimensional like a current center on their roster (I’m looking at you Omer Asik). Move Asik to the bench, or better yet, off the team. Move Davis to the 5 and hope he stays healthy as he terrorizes opposing Ds.

Jrue Holiday is a free agent after the 2017 season, and needs a fresh start. On a rebuilding squad like the Nets, you couldn’t ask for a better pairing. The Nets desperately need an upgrade at PG, and Holiday gets the opportunity to show future suitors that he’s still the incredibly gifted scorer and facilitator he is.
