9. Toronto Raptors

Pick: Jakob Poeltl, C, Utah

The Toronto Raptors couldn’t go wrong with selecting a big with the 9th pick in the draft. Assuming that they won’t be able toe retain Bismack Biyombo this summer, especially after the huge playoff run that he went on, taking the best center on the board was a great move for Toronto.

Jakob Poeltl fits the mold. He won’t be ask to do a ton right away, and he joins a pretty stable franchise in Toronto. Poeltl has his difficulties on the defensive end, but he has an NBA body and has enough offense to keep defenses reliable on that side of the ball.

Poeltl isn’t going to turn many heads, but he’s a solid pick for a team that doesn’t need to get substantially better this summer.
