Denver Nuggets

Biggest Hole: Breakout Star

The Denver Nuggets have quietly put together one of the deepest teams in the NBA. Behind the young core of Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Will Barton, Jusuf Nurkic and Kenneth Faried, the Nuggets have one of the deepest young rosters in the NBA.

The one glaring hole on the roster, however, is the lack of a true star. This team could very well be one breakout star away from being one of the most interesting teams to follow in 2016-17. Short of that happening this season, I don’t think expectations for the Nuggets should/will be high.

Could they sneak into the playoffs? Sure. Should we expect them to make the postseason if the roster remains the same between now and the start of the season? Probably not.
