Making the move from the Portland Trail Blazers to the San Antonio Spurs wasn’t a popular one, to say the least. Fortunately for Aldridge, it managed to work. Then again, who wouldn’t fit in San Antonio?

Now that Tim Duncan has retired, Aldridge’s role with the team will increase even more. However, if this past season was any indication, the Spurs should be fine. Aldridge got better with every passing game in San Antonio – perhaps that has more to do with his comfort level.

Equipped with arguably the best mid-range game in the NBA, Aldridge still holds down the 6th best power forward in the game ranking. If he was better on the defensive end, he’d be ranked a lot higher.
