Projected Starting Five: Jrue Holiday, Tyreke EvansDante Cunningham, Anthony Davis, Omer Asik 

Ah, the team that refuses to surround Anthony Davis with the talent that he deserves to be surrounded with. Either that, or they must be really bad at it.

Either way, looking at their roster on paper, the 2016-17 season will be no different. Flanked by Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis doesn’t exactly have the most consistent of backcourts. The hope is that Buddy Hield will help solve that issue. Though, I highly doubt he’s going to be a starter on opening night.

Playing next to Dante Cunningham and Omer Asik isn’t ideal, either. Though, as has been the case the last few seasons, as long as AD is healthy the Pelicans will have a chance.
