1. Wilt Chamberlain, Los Angeles Lakers (1961-62)

61-62 Accolades: Scoring Champ

These are actually video game numbers. Heck, they’re better. I don’t even think I could put these up in NBA 2K’s MyCareer. How do you manage to score 50 points a night as well as grab 26 rebounds?

I don’t care if his teammates allowed him to inflate his stats; the opposing team knew what was coming and still couldn’t stop him. Wilt Chamberlain was the best in the NBA at everything besides shooting at this point in time. He was a menace to society and was not going to be stopped in the 1961-62 season.

Despite the many individual regular seasons in the league history, I don’t think there’s any one season that overshadows what Wilt did in 61-62.
