The Jet Takes Flight… Again

Jason Terry has been on 6 teams in his storied career, and still has it.

The Jet is 39 and is (fittingly) shooting 40.4% from 3. If you think it’s a fluke or out of context stat, he’s averaging 2.2 3PA a game in only 17.1 MPG. He is not going to wow you in the box score, but he can still spot up and light you up from 3. While it’s nice that he wanted to be a mentor to the Young Bucks, let’s put him on a team that’s going somewhere soon.

Memphis is currently ranked 3rd in OPP PPG, which is a testament to their Grit-n-Grind style of play (it still lives, I refuse to let it die). On the flip side of this, they are 27th in team PPG, and 18th in team 3P% (35.6%). While a marginal improvement in the long ball category, they could still look to get better there; and who better to bring in than the guy who’s 3rd place for most 3PM?

While Memphis would almost certainly lose Terry after the season (whether it be to retirement or free agency), I’d take his 3PT shooting over Harrison’s current 26% clip any day of the week.

Harrison is a twin, and both he and his brother were tantalizing prospects coming out of Kentucky. Andrew could still be a decent role player, but put him on a team that will let him develop more naturally. Plus they add a draft pick with a lot of impending free agents.
