Conclusion

The Kangz will miss Cousins. They will especially miss him if the Cousins-Davis pairing works and they terrorize everyone in the league for the next decade. Chins up though, Divac and Ranadive.

I believe that Boogie is a good guy, despite all the negative pieces that have (and will) come out in the next few weeks.

He could prove to be a locker room cancer and the Kings could look like geniuses for getting anything for the (hypothetical) still-disgruntled star big-man. I’m inclined to believe it’s going to work beautifully, but I could be very wrong and look like a fool for writing it. Cheers to sportswriting!

In all seriousness, the Kangz have a direction – rebuilding. While they have continually been one of the league’s worst teams for the past decade and won’t make the postseason (probably) for the next 5+ years, they do have some enticing young prospects.

If given actual playing time, and upper management stays patient, the Sacramento Kings might be relevant sooner than we think.
